Academic Council

The Academic Council of the State University of Sports of Georgia is the highest collegial governing body. Its main function is to determine and oversee the university’s educational, scientific, and strategic development policies.
The council is authorized to: Approve educational programs, curricula, and qualifications. Ensure the quality of teaching and research in accordance with academic standards. Develop the university’s internal regulations and evaluation criteria for academic staff. Review and decide on academic matters for professors and instructors, including the awarding of scientific titles.
The council’s work is based on the fundamental principles of professionalism, transparency, and collegiality, which ensure the institution’s academic autonomy and progress.

Representative Council

The Representative Council of the State University of Sports of Georgia is a self-governing body that protects the interests of all university members—professors, students, and administrative staff.
The council participates in making important decisions for the university’s governance and helps strengthen its democratic management. Its activities promote the creation of an open and harmonious academic environment where every member has the opportunity to influence the university’s development.
