A scientific article consists of the following parts:
- The title
- should be clear, informative, so that the reader can directly understand the main research topic.
- It is advisable to use key terms to make the article easier to find in search engines.
- Avoid overly general or overly artistic formulations.
- Author data
- Indicate all the data that increases your authority and the reliability of the research (academic title, institution with which the researcher is affiliated, international identifiers).
- ORCID or other profile where information about you is located.
- Search words
- Choose words so that they are closely related to the content of the research.
- Use terminology characteristic of the discipline.
- 3-7 search words are recommended
- The abstract
- should include: the purpose of the research, the methods used, the main findings and conclusions.
- Write in such a way that the reader can get a clear idea of the research just by reading the abstract.
- Do not use overly complex sentences, as the abstract is intended to provide concise and accurate information
- Word count 200-300 words
- Introduction
- The introduction should justify the relevance of the topic and “introduce” the reader to the research.
- A brief review of existing literature is desirable.
- Clearly state the purpose and objectives of the research.
- Methodology (Methods)
- Definition and description of the research design
- Description of the instruments, materials, methods, and procedures used so that other researchers can replicate the research.
- A clear and transparent description of the analysis methods (statistical or other) should also be provided.
- Main part
- Logical structure: methodology → results → analysis.
- Each subsection should be clearly related to the research objectives.
- It is better to support the presentation of the results with tables and graphs.
- Conclusion
- It should answer the research questions posed in the introduction.
- Clearly highlight the scientific novelty and practical value of your article.
- It is desirable to suggest directions for future research
- Footnotes
- Be strictly consistent in your citation style.
- Place only necessary explanations in footnotes, not unnecessary texts.
- Use the APA standard consistently.
- Bibliography
- Use modern and updated materials.
- All sources should be easily searchable and reliable; if there are electronic materials, indicate links.
- Appendices
- Appendices should have clear headings so that the reader can quickly understand their content.
Technical parameters for formatting an article according to APA style:
- Font – UNICODE (Sylfaen)
- Format – A4
- The title page should be formatted in the following order:
- Title – 16-point font, centered;
- Author(s) – 14-point font, centered;
- Organization – e.g., “Georgian State University of Sports” – in 12-point font, centered;
- Faculty name (if the researcher represents a university) – in 11-point font, centered;
- Abstract – in Georgian and English – in 12-point font;
- Keywords in Georgian and English – in 12-point font;
- Start the main text of the article from the next page, font size -12;
- The volume of the main text of the article – 5-15 pages recommended (these pages do not include the foreign-language abstract and bibliography);
- Bibliography in alphabetical order: first Georgian, then foreign publications (in Georgian and English;
- Line spacing – 1.15;
- Margins: top-bottom – 2 cm; right-left – 2.5 cm;
- Photos and other graphic images should be placed on a computer The option must be executed in JPG format.
Method of reference of the used literature:
- When citing a book/collection:
- Date of publication;
- Publisher;
- In the case of an article, the name of the journal (collection in which the article is placed);
- ISSN, ISBN of the journal (collection), book, part of the book, event;
- Name of sponsor(s), if the research was created with the financial support of any foundation;

- When citing bibliographic references, all authors named in the text of the article are indicated in accordance with APA style (in alphabetical order):
- Electronic: Before citing a web page, it is necessary to separate the author, book/article title, journal, journal number (# and № symbols without), page (without p.) with a period, and then indicate the web page address; the subheading specifying the title should be separated by a colon (e.g., Khevsuruli Peculiarities: With Texts and Index). The author’s surname should be left-aligned, all subsequent lines of the reference – indented (with the TAB key), e.g.: Nikolaishvili, M. (2012). - In the case of a printed publication, the pages of the article in the collection should be indicated directly, separated by a comma, after the volume number, with a hyphen: Sharashenidze, T.
